Corse description:
The course is designed to give the trainee a firm foundation in the science and principles
of esthetic dentistry. The course will help trainee identify how the techniques in esthetic
dentistry can be best applied in the dental practice, utilizing the most appropriate
technologies available to the dental professionals. Trainees’ achievements include simple
to more extensive smile reconstruction by the needs of teeth whitening, direct composite
restorations, porcelain laminate veneers, all-ceramic crowns and implant-supported
crowns.

Objectives of course:
o Discuss the factors affecting material selection as well as the characteristics of
restorative materials.
o Conduct a correct extra oral analysis and diagnosis, underlining those
aesthetic and functional aspects of the teeth and soft tissues.
o Recognize the different types of wear, and knowing the treatment options are
instrumental in obtaining the desired results.
o Carry out diagnostic and therapeutic wax-ups on models, in order to obtain the
rehabilitation of their dental occlusion in a functional and aesthetic balance,
taking into account multidisciplinary factors of the masticatory apparatus.
o Diagnose, treat, prevent and research into oral disorders and to keep up to date
with diagnostic and therapeutic advances that may develop throughout one’s
professional career.
o Carry out selective grinding of teeth in order to obtain a balance between the
mandibular dynamics and the dental occlusion.
o Acquire the skills to make oral preparations over mucosa, over teeth and over
dental implants, in order to make stomatological prostheses in patients who
present advanced and multidisciplinary oral disorders.
